!@#$%^&*()

Title meant: Just came back from a movie with my brother.

Yes, it's the National/Independence Day and we celebrated it with watching a very violent movie.

We watched District 9.

I don't usually watch all these aliens/gory/fighting type of movie because, well, I don't really enjoy seeing people get torn into pieces or blasted or just simply get killed unnecessarily.

Don't know what came over me, but I watched the freaking movie.

It was Ok, better than Transformers 2, in my opinion. Because this one at least had a better storyline (my opinion, you don't have to agree with me). And also because in this one, I can actually differentiate which is the good guy and which is the bad. The decepticons and whatever the side that Bumblebee is on is called is really hard to tell apart (for me).

Anyway, back to District 9. It was decent in the sense of the storyline. The movie? Not so decent because of all the disgusting killing inside. And it is very British, with how all the actors said "What the fuck?" At least, I think it is British.

It's worth a watch if you're into those alien/killing/fighting/gory kind of movie.

And if you're planning to watch this movie, can you do me a favor?

Help me count the number of times "fuck" is used in this movie... Seriously, it's used like every other minute.

Two Is Better Than One

Song of the Week:
Two Is Better Than One
Boys Like Girls feat. Taylor Swift

I remember what you wore on the first day
You came into my life
And I thought hey
You know this could be something
'Cause everything you do and words you say
You know that it all takes my breath away
And now I'm left with nothing

So maybe it's true, that I can't live without you
Well maybe two is better than one
There's so much time, to figure out the rest of my life
And you've already got me coming undone
And I'm thinking two, is better than one

I remember every look upon your face,
The way you roll your eyes, the way you taste
You make it hard for breathing
'Cause when I close my eyes and drift away
I think of you and everythings okay
And finally now, we're leaving

And maybe it's true, that I can't live without you
Well maybe two is better than one
There's so much time, to figure out the rest of my life
And you've already got me coming undone
And I'm thinking two, is better than one

Yeah, yeah

I remember what you wore on the first day
You came into my life
And I thought hey

Maybe it's true, that I can't live without you
Maybe two is better than one
There's so much time, to figure out the rest of my life
And you've already got me coming undone
And I'm thinking

Oooh I can't live without you
'Cause baby two is better than one
There's so much time, to figure out the rest of my life
And I've figured out with all that's said and done
Two, is better than one

Two is better than one

Happy National Day!

It's the 52nd National Day! Woohoo... yet, I am not really feeling the excitement. Maybe because I don't really see that many cars with the flag on 'em. Everything seems... mellow this year.

Anyhow, I think we should all try to celebrate it as loudly as we can! We are free from... what's the English word for penjajahan? Erm... we're free from colonization (I think). No more Portugal, Dutch, Britain or Japanese colonizing our country. We are a free country (not so much, but still, free).

I remember back in high school, we always have to sing all the "lagu kebangsaan" and stuff during the month of August. Negaraku, Tanggal 31, Keranamu Malaysia, Jalur Gemilang, and etc.

Those songs brought back memories, however this year, a new song was stuck in my head.

Satu Malaysia from the AMP All Stars.

Start:
Satu Malaysia
Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan

Verse 1:
Oh indahnya 'pabila
Kita bersama
Kau, aku, kita semua
Tiada bezanya

No matter, whatever the challenge may be
We'll face it together, the stronger we'll be

*Tamil
Ondraga seinthu, endrendrum vazhvom santhosham neeranthaeram
(Together we come united as one, and live forever, our happiness is permanent)

Chorus:
Satu Bangsa
Satu Suara
Satu Nada
Satu Irama
Bersama kita capai semua
Satu Malaysia

Rap:
Satu Bangsa - We're united in music
Satu Irama - United we stand
I feel the hearts of my people when we struggle everyday to be the best that we can
We share the food that we eat, we share the words that we speak,
I say what's up? You say, "Apa cerita?"
"You hungry bro? Jom makanlah!"

Verse 2:
We go up, never go down
We go up together

*Chinese
Wo men shi yi ge ma lai xi ya (我们是一个马来西亚) (We are one Malaysia)
Wo men yong yuan zai tong yi ge jia (我们永远在同一个家) (We are one family)

Together we are strong
Tuan jie yi qi bu fen bi ci (团结一起不分彼此) (Unity with one vision)

Together we are strong
Xiang qin xiang ai wan zhong yi xin (相亲相爱万众一心) (We love each other and we share a vision)

United we stay, forever and ever
That's the way it's gonna be

Repeat Chorus (x1)

Bridge Sketch:
Ean: Dude, JJ!
JJ: Yes Ean.
Ean: You know what part is this in the song?
JJ: Yes, it's the part where they go one key higher.
Ean: Okay, we'll be quiet now okay?
JJ: Yeah, 'coz we can't sing but everyone else, one key higher!

Repeat Chorus (x2)

End: Eh, dah habis? Saya nanyi bila?
Eh engkau dah tua dah.
Engkau dengan aku tak nanyi.
Tepuk tangan je.

Really love the song.

Hope everyone is somehow celebrating our National Day!

Catch Me

Before I fall too fast
Kiss me quick
But make it last
So i can see how badly this will hurt me
When you say good bye

Keep it sweet
Keep it slow
Let the future pass
And dont let go
But tonight i could fall to soon under this beautiful moonlight

But your so hypnotising
You got me laughing while i sing
You got me similing in my sleep
And I can see this unravling
And your love is where im falling
But please dont catch me

See this heart
Wont settle down
Like a child running scared from a clown
l'm terrified of what you'll do
my stomach screams just when I look at you

Run far away
So I can breath
Even though your far from suffocating me
I can't set my hopes to high
Cuz every hello ends with a goodbye

But your so hypnotising
You've got me laughing while I sing
You've got me smiling in my sleep
And I can see this unravling
Your love is where im falling
But please dont catch me

So now you see
Why I'm scared
I cant open up my heart without a care
But here i go
Its what i feel
and for the first time in my life i know its real

But you're so hypnotising
You've got me laughing while I sing
You've get me smiling in my sleep
And i can see this unravling
And your love is where im falling
So please don't catch me

And if this is love
Please don't break me
I'm giving up
So just catch me

Catch Me

To Infinity and Beyond

Up we go!

Today was officially the first day of the Fall '09 semester and I must say that it was very unproductive. Why? Because my lecturer didn't turn up for class today, due to some reason. So, today's lesson can be counted as crap cause we just went in, sat for approximately 30 minutes, sign attendance, and then ciao!

And due to the fact that we have nothing to do to pass the time, we decided to go watch a movie. Yes, we watched UP!

The movie was good, just ignore the logic a little bit since, you know, you couldn't really fly your house even with thousands of helium gas balloons. Can you?

Anyway, the movie was quite touching in several parts. And quite 'kan chiong' also. Not forgetting also the funniness of the movie. Gawd! It's like you can't stop laughing. Don't underestimate the old guy with no facial expression (which is so cute that Cynthia wanted to slap him). Combine the old man and a small boy with a wild weird bird and a talking dog, the entertainment is endless.

If you're looking for a movie to help you relax and enjoy without straining your eyes (Transformers) or using your brain too much, this is the pick!

Point!
Squirrel!

Btw, according to a reliable source (Dr. Steven), ADP results should be released tomorrow around noon. But if it didn't, don't blame me, I got it from the source. :)

c2pid

That's the word that I'm going to use to describe the new time slot in college.

At first, I was quite happy with the change. With the class starts at 8.30am, I wouldn't have to wait too long for classes to start as I usually arrive at college quite early in the morning (mostly 7-7.15am). So, while my friends are complaining about the time slot when we found out before the holidays, I was secretly rejoicing.

But now...

Stupid time slot...

Just realized last night while I was chatting with my dearest Jess that we don't have a single class in common for the next semester. While that is actually quite common, since we're don't have the same majors, but it was Ok before because we have at least one hour lunch break together to hang out.

But now... because of the

Stupid time slot...

We don't really have time to hang out. If we do, then it's only half an hour tops. >.< Not only Jess, of course, I couldn't hang out with the whole gang also, as they had different timetable. What's worst is that when I had the slot free, they will be having class and vice versa. =.=

Seems like the only time that we can hang out together is at night, which of course, I won't be able to attend.

T.T

Will definitely miss hanging out with everyone.

A Little Bit Longer

Got the news today doctor said I had to stay

A little bit longer and I'll be fine
When I thought it'd all been done
When I thought it'd all been said
A little bit longer and I'll be fine

But you don't know what you got until it's gone
And you don't know what it's like to feel so low
And every time you smile, you laugh, you glow
You don't even know, know, know
You don't even know

All this time goes by, still no reason why
A little bit longer and I'll be fine
Waiting on a cure but none of them are sure
A little bit longer and I'll be fine

But you don't know what you got until it's gone
And you don't know what it's like to feel so low
And every time you smile, you laugh, you glow
You don't even know, know, know
You don't even know, know, know
You don't even know, know, know

But you don't know what you got until it's gone
And you don't know what it's like to feel so low, yeah
And every time you smile, you laugh, you glow
You don't even know, yeah, whoa, yeah
You don't even know

So I'll wait 'til kingdom come
All the highs and lows are gone
A little bit longer and I'll be fine
I'll be fine

Send It On

A quite meaningful song in my opinion.

A word is just a word Until you mean what you say A Love isn't a love Til you give it away
We all got to give
Yeah something to give to make a change

Send it on
On and on
Just one hand can heal another
Be apart
Reach your heart
Just one spark starts a fire
With one little action
The chain reaction will never stop
Make us Strong
Shine a Light and Send it On

Just smile and the world will smile along with you That small acts of love Then the one will become two
If we take the chances
To change circumstances
Imagine all that we could do
If we...

Send it on
On and on
Just one hand can heal another
Be apart
Reach your heart
Just one spark starts a fire
With one little action
The chain reaction will never stop
Make us Strong
Shine a Light and Send it On
Send it on

There's Power in all the choices we make
So I'm starting now not a moment to wait
A word just a word
Until you mean what you say
A love isn't just a love
Until you give it away

Send it on
On and on
Just one hand can heal another
Be apart
Reach your heart
Just one spark starts a fire
With one little action
The chain reaction will never stop
Make us Strong
Shine a Light and Send it On
Send it on

Send it on
On and on
Just one hand can heal another
Be apart
Reach your heart
Just one spark starts a fire
With one little action
The chain reaction will help things start
Make us Strong
Shine a Light and Send it On
Shine a Light and Send it On
Shine a Light and Send it On

Send It On

Part 2: WORK

WORK: Weekend 2, Day 1.

Work today was great in the sales part. Sold quite a number. At least it is counted as OK lar, in my opinion.

The down part to work today is... I encountered a perv. Like seriously creepy-ish stalker-like type. Walao... Luckily was able to send him away and managed to get him buy one item from me. Muahaha!!!

Another thingy is... Guardian people steal my FOC samples! ISH! I'm sure it's them. It's like at 12pm, there's a whole box full of it. But when I went back to the store room at around 12++ to tambah stock, it's like half gone. =.=" mengada lar... Ish!

Anywho, enjoy the video~

Do not let your prejudice lead you.

When You Look Me in the Eyes Cover by Ahmir

Happy 20th Birthday!

Before I head off to my dreaded job... that pays well so I can't complain much, I would like to dedicate a post to a person.

You may or may not like him, but I do.

Happy 20th Birthday, Joseph Adam Jonas.

Something to NOT look forward to...

The weekend is here again...

Which meant that I have to work, again...

Which meant that I have to stand for nine hours...

Which also meant that I have to deal with bloody baka Guardian people, again...

Don't really look forward to it... but heck, I know there's something to look forward to, PAYDAY!

So, I will BEAR with the dreadful weekends. I WILL!!!

BTW, spent the whole day watching "Boys Over Flowers"-Korean version
It was the best among all the other versions.
The main character in this is soooooo much better looking than the Taiwan version.
*hint hint*
(Jess, I'm obviously talking about Jerry Yan!)

I saw Ghost!!!

... of girlfriend past.

Went for a date with my mommy again. We watched the Ghost of Girlfriends Past (and Present and Future). Starring: Matthew Mc-something (dunno how to spell his name and lazy to go find out) and Jennifer Garner.

It was a nice movie. Quite funny and touching as well. Compare to The Proposal, I think this movie makes more sense because how can two people fall in love in merely three days (The Proposal)?

The storyline is not bad. And some of the characters were portrayed quite successfully.

There this character, which supposed to be Connor (Matthew Mc-something)'s first "sex-partner", she is so freaking funny. Like, she totally brings the mood up and crack the audience.

Also, there is Paulie's (Connor's brother) fiance, Sandra a.k.a. the Bridzella! LOL, her freak-out moment is sooo funny. The actress acted well.

One thing I found annoying, about the movie, is the way Matthew Mc-something talk. I dunno lar, maybe it's his true way of speaking or maybe it's what the director wants, but he talk kind of in a drawl... you know, like wanting it to be sexy, but just end up being annoying? Yeah.

But, all that is just my personal opinion. No hard feelings.

Another thing I found annoying, not about the movie, is the couple that was seated next to me. Ugh. Walao.

1. Before the movie start, they're like,

BF: You wear lar (the jacket), later you cold.
GF: No lar, you wear lar.

They keep pushing it to one another and it carried out throughout the preview and sometimes during the movie. =.=" I so wanted to say, "JUST FREAKING WEAR IT ALREADY!" but of course, I didn't.

2. During the movie, I dunno whether the girl is pretending or she's plain idiotic, she keeps asking Qs! Like, "What is he doing?", "Why she do that?" *eyes rolling* I think the movie is not so complicated for anyone to ask about what's happening. It was quite to the point. =.="

Ok, rant's over. Yeah. so, the conclusion is: The movie is not bad. You should watch it if you haven't watch it. (But I think today's the last day)

An... interesting weekend

... so to speak.

Been away from my beloved Nikki (I've been told it's healthy to leave it for a few days) for approximately 48 hours, give or take a few. It is because I was working. Yes, your eyes didn't fool you. I had been working. As a Dove/Lux/Lifebouy promoter in Guardian, Midvalley Megamall. Feel free to drop by to visit me. I'm at the LG floor. Of course, it would be deeply appreciated if you were to buy one or two body shampoo from me. *wink*

Anyway, it had been a while since I stood for such a long time. Working hours: 12pm-9pm with one hour break. Compare to my last job in Eu Yan Sang (2 years ago), it's quite tolerable. I only had to stand for like 8 hours (10-12 hours for EYS). But, being used to sitting all the time (class, quality time with Nikki), it'd been torture for the last two days. My legs are so super sore.

Also, Guardian people there are just super duper friendly. *Note the sarcasm*

Freak it man. Though the people there didn't ask me to do other stuff like Joan's did. In fact, they just ignored me when I got in the first day. I was like so freaking blur. Somemore I was carrying a HUGE bag (sleeping over at JoJo's). Ish. Only after like 10 minutes only got a Guardian fella came and brief me. Ish.

What's worst is that the next day when I go to work, the free samples that I was supposed to give out as a promotion went missing. Walao. I'm sure I had kept them in the store room d, but I can't fnd them. Then, the bloody Guardian people were like,

"Awak cari lar kat dalam tu, mungkin mereka letak kat situ,"

"Sebab tulah aku kata jangan letak barang kat merata-rata,"

!@#$%^&*

Hello, I put in the storeroom like they told me to. Ish. I have a suspicion that they stole it. But anyway, supervisor said it's OK lar. Leave it. And he suggested next time we put markings, BIG markings on the samples. Stupid Guardian people.

Anyway, let's get on to a more cheerful topic. And when I say cheerful, what I really meant was lame and funny. And of course, when lame is mentioned, there will be the presence of Mr. Bu.

What happened was, Dove have this machine-thingy that let us take the measurement of the moisture of our skin. For normal skin, it should be 50. And any skin more than 80, that means the skin is awesome: very high moisture.

So, when Mr. Bu drove us back to Casa, he took it and play. Then, he got 93! Freak it. So, I "bu gan yuen", I took my reading and I keep testing with different part of my skin. Then, I got 95!!!! Muahaha... Of course, I'm very happy since I won!

That mengada punya Mr. Bu just have to take the test again and he got... yeah, you got it... 96! Walao, you can imagine lar my face when he show me the freaking machine with that reading. You can't? It's k, I have the picture.

Because I'm me, I keep trying again to get a better reading than him. I don't care. I have to win!!! And I did... You'll never guess how much I got...

Look at his face!!! Muahahaha... But no, sadly, that's not my reading. It's actually 66. Haha... Still, I try again. And again. And again. Until...

Well, at least it's the same as him. Therefore, I didn't lose. :)

I'm gonna keep trying though. Wish me luck!

That's all for now.

PS: a special SHOUTOUT to Victor Siew Chun Hooi (I hope it's the correct spelling, LOL). HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope you enjoy the gift we gave you. And, I'm serious about the song. You have to play one COMPLETE song for me. :)

Youtube-ing like crazy!

Yoohoo~
Wassup everybody, I'm back, AGAIN!
This is like the third post of the day! WoW, i broke my own record. Last time, it was two post in a day. (but still haven't break Joan's, I think it's 6 posts? Not so sure)

Anyway, I've been Youtube-ing. And I found another amazing talent, in my opinion. As usual, you might have already heard about her or you might not. Anywho, just listen and tell me what do you think about her. =)

Just in case you have been living under the rock
and have no idea what the original sound like,
the title is the link to the original song.

PS: All videos belong to BriNicole22

i wonder how they thought of this...

OMG! I don't know what to say... you guys should just watch it...

Thanks Shaun Alan Goonting for recommending this.

haters=not cool

I was just browsing Youtube, watching videos. And of course, while waiting for the video to load, i skimmed through the comments. While there are some comments that adores the singers/models/actors, there are some that are just plain rude and totally unwanted.

Hello, who are you people to judge others?

So what if someone dresses too over the top/revealing? -It's their choice to do so and if they are confident wearing them and there's no harm to anybody, who are you to place a comment?

So what if someone did a cover of the song and they didn't sound as good as the original? - At least they have the guts to try.

So what if someone do not know how to act? - They can learn to get better. At least better than someone who just sit there and typed their comments like a coward.

Some may say that everyone have the rights to voice out their opinions, true, but does it have to be voiced out so viciously? Aren't there a better way to get the point across without hurting people's feelings?

Like what I had read from an email today:

You can always apologize for the things that you said, but you can never fix the scar that you left behind for the things that you had said. It doesn't matter if it's said intentionally or not, the scars will always remain.

A week into semester break...

Sad to say this, but I am bored beyond words. And it's only about a week into Summer semester break. There are still 2 more weeks to go... I hope I can think of something productive to do...

Anyway, i went to Youtube today and saw that I have a message. Turns out it was one of those musicians that want us to subscribe to their channel and listen to their music. Normally I don't really give a shoot about all these, but today, I clicked on the link and gave it a try.

What do you know, I actually liked this guy's music. Ok fine, my taste in music is actually pretty easy, good melody, lyrics, or even if they are just catchy will get the "OK" from me. So, maybe he would not suit your taste.

But still, I would love to share this with you guys. Those who had watched this before, watch it again. Those who haven't, give it a try. =) who knows, it might be ur next favorite song.

Mind.Invaded.

Just gotten an enlightenment. From Vickie.

I realized that quite a lot of people had read my blog, not that I am bragging or anything, it's just that... what started out to be a medium to express my thoughts and share my experiences with my close friends had somehow become an... invasion of privacy, for the lack of better words...

True, I knew what I am getting into by starting to write a blog, but I just didn't expect to feel this invisible pressure to watch what I am saying/expressing in my blog just because someone, anyone can access into my blog and read about my thoughts...

Like what someone told me before, you got yourself into this; you want to blog, you have to be ready to expose yourself to others, the good and the bad.

So, i guess I have to put up with it and just watch what I'm writing in my blog.

What's the point of this post?

Well, just to share what I'm thinking about.
